Small dog breeds are quite popular today, with many dog owners opting for the toy breeds as a pet. This dog breed is great with children. Consequently, pet owners allow their tiny companions to exhibit behavior that would never be tolerated with a large dog. So, small dog breeds are in fact safer than larger dog breeds. The Yorkshire Terrier is truly one of the smaller dog breeds and is full of energy, loyalty, and intellect.
